Panasonic Plasma Review
Panasonic Big Screen TVs
I have used Panasonic products and have had pretty good luck with them. So, we'll look at the Panasonic CT-34WX52 Digital Color TV.
It has a 34-inch diagonal PureFlat picture Tube with good clarity, detail and color brightness. It is compatible with HDTV/SDTV formats - when connected to a separate HDTV Tuner. It's image is viewed on a Progressive cinema scan 16:9 aspect ratio screen. It has horizontal and vertical edge correction technology. A very reliable performer and a great choice for a big screen TV.
This brand offers three types of big screen TVs. Plasma, Widescreen LCD, and Rear projection. Each have their pros and cons. If your budget allows, I believe the rear projection model to be the best choice. Sturdiest reliability and performance at a mid range price. Price usually averaging at around $1300
LCD Screens have came down in price and for those of us on a tighter budget, but want good quality for their money one of these can be a good buy at around $700. Downside is the picture can go a bit odd if the temperature in your house gets too hot or to cold.
For those of us who have the bigger pocket book, the Big screen Plasma TV is the way to go. These TVs have the sharpest and most vibrant color of the Big Screen TVs. They are also the priciest....usually starting around $2000 to $3000. While these TVs are awesome to watch, they are also rather tetchy. Do not bang or jar a plasma TV very hard, or at all if you can help it. The tiny, delicate tubes inside that create those vibrant images will break easily, and are extremely hard to replace, and therefore very expensive to repair.
So, when you decide to invest in a Big Screen TV...take your time and shop wisely for your home theater.
